We do ship to Alaska and Hawaii, you’ll just need to call us to place your order since different shipping conditions apply. We can also ship to Canada, but what you would pay for shipping is often unfortunately high. Feel free to contact us for a shipping quote.

Please see our list of International Distributors that can order our products for you. We can ship small parcels via FedEx to most international destinations. Please send email request to info@grassrootsfabricpots.com or call our office for a quote. If you would like to have a pallet or more shipped, you will need to hire an international freight forwarding service provider that you can dispatch once your order is ready for pick-up at our facility.  

We currently require a $500 minimum order for international shipments.

Sure! Pick-up orders cannot be placed online. Just give us a call. We’ll place your order with you over the phone and share details for pick-up.

Well, we can make your fabric planter dreams come true! Just head over to our custom request form to tell us about your ideas. You can request things like handles, strange sizes, alternative raised bed dimensions, or maybe a pot with no bottom!

Yes, we offer bulk discounts. For example, if your order is $1000 – $4999, you will get 5% off. If your order is over $5000, you will get 10% off. You can submit for a quote if you’d like to know the specifics.

We most frequently use Fedex as our shipping carrier. We will also use the US Postal Service on occasion. For very large orders that need pallets, it can vary by what’s available in your area. Feel free to call our office if you have any questions! 916-822-2177

The short answer? Quality. We have taken the time to research the materials used by our competition and have chosen to use a far superior fabric that is made specifically for us in the USA. Then our NorCal and Mexico friends assemble our pots with USA made material for lasting quality. 

The majority of the fabric pots on the market are mass produced in China with low quality fabric and do not last. We sew our bottom seams on the outside to help them last longer, and most of our pots and beds have a triple hem along the top for extra strength. (Classic fabric pots 30 gal and up are triple-hemmed. Fabric raised beds are all triple-hemmed.)

Typically, we expect them to last between 3-5 years. It depends on how much direct sunlight they receive, how you store/clean them, and how you grow in them. Often, they will last longer than that! We recommend washing your fabric pots in between cycles if you use a lot of nutrients and amendments.

Our fabric is a nonwoven geotextile polypropylene made especially for us from a manufacturer in the USA. It is military grade UV-resistant, chemically stable, and BPA free! It resists breakdown and rot and won’t leach any chemicals into your media. Plus, you can just throw it in the washing machine!

Our material is chemically stable, inert, and BPA-free, and therefore safe. It will not leach anything into the soil or the environment.

While the material we use is not recyclable, we strive to help by making our products last as long as possible.

Our Classic Fabric Pots & Beds are made from a breathable fabric that drain and dry from all sides. They’re ideal for growing outdoors in humid settings or hydroponic gardening, or if you feed your plant directly instead of the soil. If you aren’t growing in these conditions, you may experience uneven drainage and dry pockets, and your plants may require more frequent watering. For growing in dryer climates and greenhouses, consider Living Soil Fabric Pots & Beds. With a waterproof liner and bottom aeration strip, Living Soil Fabric Pots & Beds recreate the top-down drying pattern that is found in nature. This ensures optimum moisture retention, eliminates dry pockets, and helps to cultivate essential microbes. We recommend trays if you are worried about the surface the pots/beds are on, or worried about the runoff.

Our products are not biodegradable. Our current pots and beds are intended to be very long-lasting above ground containers.

You can bury our pots, but they will not deteriorate. This type of geotexile fabric was originally created for plumbing use. Being underground will not negatively affect anything.

Our strong fabric can sometimes act as a barrier to pests or animals, but we suggest taking other measures to protect your plants.

We’ve reduced the footprint of our smaller beds (4×8 and below) standard 4×4 and 4×8 raised beds so they can fit into most trays and grow tents.

Yes! Our fabric pots can be cleaned in the washing machine and air dried. Do not put them in the dryer. Learn more about washing your fabric pots here.

Yes, but be proactive. The bottom of the fabric pot will put moisture into the wood and cause rot. We suggest using a plastic or ceramic dish underneath to collect runoff water.

Why yes! For any reason you have to move your plant, our pots are lightweight and designed to be free to pick up and move to a new location. We recommend doing so before a watering so the pot is at its lightest.

It is personal preference. Our pots are not designed for this, but if it happens and is not a problem for you, it WILL benefit the plant by adding new area for your roots to explore.

We are happy to offer you a 21 day satisfaction guarantee, and we will accept the return of unused product back for a refund during that time. We are also happy to provide you with a 90-day manufacturer’s warranty. If you find any defects with your pots, contact us, and we will make it right. Please note, shipping is non-refundable and the customer must pay for return shipping. Also, a 10% restocking fee will be applied for all returned products. Our custom orders have different rules.
